The Nebraska International Languages Association (NILA) is pleased to announce the opening of nominations for the annual Pro Lingua Award. The award recognizes those friends outside the world language teaching profession who have contributed time and effort in support of world language programs for Nebraska students.

Nominees for this award can be colleagues in other disciplines, counselors, administrators, or members of the community. Since the manner in which support is expressed may vary greatly from individual to individual, the nomination format is that of a letter indicating the name, occupation, address, and phone number of the nominee.

Information submitted in the letter of nomination should include recognition of the nominee’s specific contributions by those with whom the nominee has regular contact. This recognition should be expressed in supporting letters from supervisors, peers, students or others who benefit from the nominee's services. Supporting letters should include detailed examples of how the nominee has provided support and/or leadership to world language education. Please submit supporting documentation with the nomination form.
